Catherine Liora is a Canadian self-taught artist whose practice has grown out of a life shaped by transition. Born on Cape Breton Island and now based in Victoria, BC, she discovered painting in her early thirties after stepping away from a path in science and law. Her work spans luminous digital abstractions and intimate oil portrait miniatures, guided by intuition rather than formal training. Recent years have brought new movement—most recently an RV trip across the United States with her two young puppies, whose energy keeps her both grounded and permanently on her toes. Her work reflects an ongoing process of becoming, shaped by resilience, reinvention, and a deep curiosity about the inner worlds we carry.
